Kitchens
Estimates: Irving's Hardwood Furnishings always gives free estimates. Please compare our prices and quality to the big box stores---and don't forget to include the installation---We think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Cabinets: Irving’s Hardwood Furnishings standard kitchen cabinets include: Face frame style cabinets with overlay doors, finger pulls and UV powder-coated 3/4 maple plywood pre-finished interiors. We include 3/4 plywood drawers, interior plywood capped exposed edges, 1 breadboard, 1 sink tray, and Blum hinges.
Plywood vs. Melamine
At Irving’s, our cabinetry is superior because we use UV powder-coated plywood for the cabinet boxes and drawer boxes. Plywood is a stronger, lighter weight, and more water resistant product than Melamine which is made from compressed sawdust.
Wood Choices include: Lumber from re-growth hardwoods including oak, alder, mahogany, maple, cherry, walnut, ash, birch, pine, fir, quarter sawn, and rustic. We can also obtain reclaimed lumber and exotics. View Wood Samples
Door Style: Book or slip-match grains on raised panel doors. Custom curved doors are available. Raised panel, flat panel, arts and crafts style, texured and clear glass, etc.
Finish: Natural or stained with three coats of finish. Irving's Hardwood Furnishings is a "Green" company. We use Green certified 3M water based contact adhesive and environmentally friendly Campbell water white catalyzed lacquers for cabinet finishes. Upon request, for people with chemical sensitivities, we can use an eco-friendly water based finish. Keep in mind that this finish is not as durable as our standard finish.
Color-Match Wood and Finish Characteristics: Natural woods vary in texture, color, and wood grain. All efforts will be made for a reasonable color match, but an exact match cannot be guaranteed.
Hardware:We use Blum hardware which features clip hinges and Repon (soft close drawer guides). We also use Rev-A-Shelf wood accessories. There are many choices of decorative hardware that we can order for you or that you can buy yourself Check out Berenson Hardware, Top Knobs and Amerock for ideas
